Maasai - Lion standoff 🦁

Faced with a nerve-wracking task ahead, three brave Maasai warriors summon up courage and embark on an unusual escapade. Dressed in shukas and barely holding a weapon in hand, they set out to fetch their dinner from a pack of 15 hungry lions! They sit at a distance and watch as the pack of ferocious lions devour their hunt, with nothing but killer instincts in the eyes of the jungle cats. They are on a mission, and that is to hunt from the hunters.🤯

After careful observation, they begin to advance towards the pack. Their moves are highly calculated and they have to stick together for the plan to work. The hungry lions that were formerly unbothered by their 3-man audience are now startled to see them approaching. Their indulgence is halted at the sight of the incoming threat. The lions are in disbelief as the unrelenting warriors continue to match their way. Something is not right. 🤔

One by one, they begin to scatter leaving behind their kill. The lions are now in the audience, watching the men from a distance. How tables turn! Wasting no time, the men cut themselves a chunk of the meat and quickly walk away back to safety with their dinner in hand. Indeed, teamwork makes the dream work. What a classic! 😃

The wilderness is a dramatic yet profound arena with great awes, and other times showcases unforgiving and graphic scenes, especially during wild chases and hunts. Ah yes, the great balance of life. Watching the pure and unscripted happenings of the wild is profoundly beautiful and can happen when on a safari adventure to the National Parks in the Mara, Samburu, Amboseli, Tsavo, Nakuru, and even a safari in the capital city, Nairobi. 🌳
